Hello dear readers,
Today I’m delighted to have a column from a previous rAVe employee, Jacob Blount. Jacob has spent much of his life being either a technology volunteer or paid employee for houses of worship, particularly for large worship events. Today he has an interesting column about how integrators can provide ongoing services to houses of worship, who have certainly had to adapt to very new circumstances this year. Many weren’t prepared for these changes (well, who was?), and now have to figure out the often-challenging world of video streaming. Jacob talks about the opportunities this presents for offering AVaaS (yes, that) to houses of worship. Check it out below.
We also have a column from a new writer, Andres Caamano, who writes his first piece about the differences between contemporary and traditional lighting options for churches. You know, for when people can leave their houses again. Welcome, Andres!
I hope that all of you have a happy and healthy, if virtual, holiday season. See you in 2021.
