Good afternoon, HOW readers! I hope you all are having an excellent start to the week. If not, I’m here to make it better with a spoonful of sugar and all the news! First of all, I present you with Mark Coxon’s latest column, all about the importance of original thought. He uses the example of his kids’ school grading system, but it fits with our lives too. How are we being encouraged to think outside the box — and not just absorb information but then apply it? I’ve thought about that a lot in my time in the AV industry. There are certain concepts I read about and know about — but I’m not quite sure how to apply them. I’m no integrator; please do not hire me to install a projector screen in your church, synagogue, mosque, etc.
What does it take for you to apply the concepts and principles your school, mentors and profession have taught you? Think on that.
In this issue, enjoy the latest product news from Sharp, Epson, Kramer Electronics, Marshall Electronics, Ross and more. Plus, check out all the latest on NEC and Sharp’s joint venture — and a couple of case studies this time about how Symetrix and Panasonic are updating tech in a couple of different houses of worship.
Later gators!
