Well, we all survived Hurricane Florence relatively unscathed (thanks to those of you who called, emailed and Tweeted!), although parts of Chapel Hill are flooded. Our coasts were not so lucky. Wilmington, where my parents lived for more than 20 years and where I finished high school, is facing one of the most difficult hurricane recoveries the city has ever seen.
