Just last week I finished titling almost all of our 1,640 videos from InfoComm 2019 and my brain is fried. It was like walking around the show for eight days and looking at every. single. thing.
Lessons from looking at that much InfoComm stuff: everyone is doing AV-Over-IP (but you already knew that), everyone has added or launched a remote management and monitoring platform, Microsoft Teams and Zoom were integrated into everything, LED was all up in every indoor application and more boxes than ever are modular. I also heard multiple people describe their AV-Over-IP 4K solutions on 10G networks as “no compression” or “zero compression” and I may or may not have shouted, “That’s not true!” at my computer screen. Oh and I also saw a lot more AI and machine learning being used in practical applications.
Below Gary talks about the themes he saw at the show, and also has a column with all his favorite booth tours embedded.
Anyway, you can see
all our coverage here — we also have 300+ stories, 91 podcasts recorded from the show floor and a bunch more. We also covered UBTech, the higher education technology conference held just before InfoComm 2019, and you can see all of our videos and content
for that here. Gary was also the keynote speaker, during which he focused on designing classrooms with a people-first approach, rather than a technology-first approach. You can
watch Gary’s keynote here (you have to fill out UBTech’s registration form first).
