Hi everyone, as I’m writing this I’m thinking a lot about what the heck is going on in our industry. Sometimes I see the good stuff that people want to show me. But sometimes I see the sad stuff like David Danto writes about in his latest piece. Definitely read it but TL;DR: A company at InfoComm showed the world its brightest tech and shiniest smiles while silently laying off a good bit of its staff after making them work the booth. I don’t know, you guys. It’s just really disappointing to read about.
But I’ll try not to depress you.
In other news, 26North is set to acquire a controlling stake in AVI-SPL. That’s right. THAT AVI-SPL. As in the biggest integrator in our industry.
There is some other good news in here! Things like AUO Display Plus joining MDEP (which is exciting, I think) and Vivitek’s new collaboration boards and Absen joining PSNI.
So I’ll try to let the positive outweigh the negative on this one.
