Do you ever feel like “meeting equity” is a term that’s thrown around a lot but that few companies take it seriously? I do. I think it’s another buzzword that will only achieve real meaning when we give it meaning. Basically, I feel that meeting equity will become real when we start truly focusing on and prioritizing the experience of everyone in a given meeting. I think this is part of Mark Coxon’s point in his latest article. “Meeting online is not collaboration any more than sharing your screen is collaboration.” Why not focus on the people rather than the hardware?
