Hello, fellow #AVtweeps!

I can’t believe we’re almost at the end of 2022. But we, here at rAVe, are very excited about 2023. Trade shows will be back full-force for 2023, and that means I’ll get to see a lot of you. There is nothing cooler than discovering a new product or new technology that you just know is going to change the way we all work.

I remember seeing the first LCD projector, the first time I saw HD, the moment I saw a 4K image for the first time — all of this was walking the show floor at trade shows. And, the best booths are those that build experiences — like this one inside the Planar booth at InfoComm 2022, for example!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this edition of rAVe ProAV — our flagship eNewsletter, and I am proud to say, the oldest digital publication covering the AV, UCC and Digital Signage markets — 21 years strong!

— Gary Kayye

COLUMNS

+ Lessons From Uber: How NOT to Respond to a Cybersecurity Incident [Paul Konikowski]

Word quickly got out that the young hacker got into a company Slack, and by then, the adversary had already gained full access to the network, impacting the Amazon Web Services console, VMware vSphere/ESXi virtual machines, and the Google Workspace admin dashboard, and they posted the vulnerability reports publicly.

+ LAVNCH WEEK 6: ProAV Day Blew Me Away [Abbie Ashford]

Wow, what a day. I knew today would be great, but I didn’t expect this. Our presenters really brought their A-game today with their infectious excitement and impressive industry knowledge. I’m back once again to give you a recap and encourage you to do nothing with this article other than watch the day’s content.
