I don’t always write columns for rAVe [PUBS], but when I do, I make it everyone’s problem. But seriously, check out my latest column, all about my thoughts about InfoComm’s 2021 show and 2022 show. You can’t quite compare them fairly because of the sheer size, but it’s essential to talk about my experience since I did get to attend both. Enjoy!
Bob Snyder also shares a column this time — all about Switchboard. In case you didn’t know, Switchboard allows users to videoconference and work in different web-based applications. That way, no one struggles to share the right window, tab, etc.
Also, check out Waves Audio’s new audio mixer, Vibe’s new all-in-one collaboration board, Disguise’s new media server and more.
If you caught any of rePLAY InfoComm 2022 last week, you’ll remember that I asked nearly every person I interviewed via Steph UNSCRIPTED what they thought about this show versus last year — if they attended both. Many of the thoughts were the same.
Switchboard lets users videoconference and work within multiple web-based applications — from Google Docs and Figma, to Trello and Jira — in a single virtual room. Instead of toggling between tabs and apps or having to share a screen, users can bring all of their materials to shared space.
