Our first column today discusses hybrid homes in the present day. What AV systems do they use? What products and solutions are being used more than others? These questions are important to the end user but also to integrators and project managers. Knowing what AV solutions are being used and are working well for the truly hybrid home allows us to make decisions for our businesses, projects, homes and more. Check out Murphy Daley’s piece here!
The next column I have for you today is from yours truly. Poly sent rAVe a recent study that examined how organizations are responding to employees’ demand for the ‘ideal space to work from.’ The study does focus on employee and employer data, but how does this correlate to a truly hybrid workspace? For many of us, that means having to be in a home office or WFH setup for some or all of our work day. I think Poly’s study gives some insight into the questions you should be asking— for both your business and for the future of your home office/hybrid setup!
That’s all I’ve got today, AVtweeps. Hope to see you during rePLAY Enterprise Connect 2022 today! Bye!
Compared to the office, a home is surprisingly unpredictable. Unlike the planned and structured office, the home (and the people that live there) create an IT and AV ecology of their own. When working at home, business office users might not even be the highest consumers of AV and IT. Every inhabitant in the home has their own use cases, from the infant to the bed-ridden grandmother and everyone in between.
Last week, Poly sent a new report that examines how organizations are responding to employees’ demand for the ‘ideal space to work from.’ The report analyzed data taken on work policies, culture and wellness from over 2,500 global business decision-makers. Titled “Recruit, Retain and Regrow,” the study indicates that organizations who want to succeed must address their work processes, plans and environments. Otherwise, recruitment and retention rates “will be at risk.”
