Hello, #AVtweeps,
I have for you this week two columns and plenty of news to keep you company. InfoComm is quickly approaching, and I know you’re anxious to see all the new releases tied to the show. If you’re going this year, feel free to stop me on the show floor and say hey! The show may be a lot different in 2021, but our team will be all decked out in the usual purple + black rAVe gear, so you won’t be able to miss us!
That brings us to our column from a brand-new rAVe writer on the block, Jennifer Guhl. She interviewed some different manufacturers and attendees who will be at InfoComm 2021 in person. This piece showcases the things weighing on the minds of those attending this year. It’s a great read; also please add Jennifer on LinkedIn and give her a warm rAVe welcome to the BlogSquad!
Anyway, Mark Coxon writes about his pointers for using projection in visualization environments. We’re back to the age-old question: projection or LED screens? I’m not here to convince you one way or another, but this column is for IF you choose to use a projector or multiple in an install. He gives some advice for making sure your system works smoothly and appropriately.
Finally, if you’ll scroll down to the tech round-up section, you’ll see an obit for John A. Murray, a big name in the field of sound reinforcement. Give it a read — it’s incredibly warm, heartfelt and funny. We at rAVe wish for comfort and peace for his family and friends at this time.
That’s all from me!
Bye!
