This just in: NAB Show 2021 is canceled. This is sad news, as I know we were all looking to it as a type of temperature-taker for the other in-person events this year. What will happen to the rest of the shows? I … genuinely have no idea. My only piece of advice is to have patience with the organizations putting these events on. They are making impossible decisions and are doing the best they can. All we can really do is wait it out and hope for the best! rAVe will cover all the shows either way.
Anyway.
Project management is something we’re all familiar with. We have project managers at rAVe, and there usually are PMs assigned to each install in AV. If you’re familiar, you’ll know that depending on the company, the PM style can be different. Today, the first column I have for you from Murphy Daley is all about two styles: Agile and waterfall. Agile is used in our industry as a framework for IT — so I was interested to learn how it’s applied to project management; you will be too!
This week, our other featured column comes from Mark Coxon, who writes about how focusing on “first use” can really help a client/end user adopt the product. For so many (even in our industry), learning how to use new technology can be a pain. So why not make first use something that can be fun for everyone? What’s stopping you from gamifying it?
That’s all from me folks; have a great Wednesday.
