It’s a busy time in ProAV so we’ll do our best to keep you all aware of the latest.
For one, according to Futuresource Consulting, growth opportunities may lie ahead for the professional display market. In terms of volume, projection was the hardest-hit across 2020, down by almost a third. Then, you have LCDs, down only 7% last year. LED had a mixed performance: Of course, supply chain issues took hold, and many major installs were delayed or canceled. But it was not all bad news. How and where will these three display technologies recover in 2021? Find the story below.
We’d like to also bring your attention to BlogSquad writer Mark Coxon’s column reflecting on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) keynote given by Dr. Ivan Joseph during NSCA’s BLCv. A few main points from the session really stuck out to Coxon — see what they were in his column, also linked below.
OK, now some product updates. We want to know what you think about them. No doubt Visionary’s PacketAV Duet, a wallplate encoder, is impressive — it just won NSCA’s overall grand prize in the 2021 EPI Awards. We also see an update from Barco on its UniSee line of LCDs for video walls. Let us know which stories are standing out.
Lastly, we just reported on day one of Almo’s spring E4v. Catch the story here. (The wrap-up of day two is coming soon but is currently under construction.) If you like what you see, why not go register for day three, which starts Thursday at 11 a.m. Eastern Time? I’ll be there.
