Welcome, welcome to the third issue of rAVe Pro in December! I hope you’re all doing well and not hitting every deadline by the skin of your teeth like I am (sorry to my co-workers for that one).
I can’t wait for you to dive into this issue because I have some great blogs this week! The first is from Murphy Daley, who writes about the project management experience during an international AV installation. Chances are, you’ve worked with an international partner or two, and Murphy has some great tips to ensure that the work goes smoothly. Paul Konikowski also has an interesting column about Zoom’s recent brush with the FTC (yeah, if you missed that that happened, don’t feel bad. I did too, and I work in news. Yikes.) Also, Leah McCann wrote a great wrapup of D=SIGN Day 2 — read it, but she also included links to the archived content so you can go watch. Finally, Mark Coxon wrote about a concept he calls “cheer squad management” that may help your whole team feel supported in every step of their work.
While you’re here, check out the new iPad app from AVer, Tascam’s new USB audio interfaces, Extron’s new ceiling speaker and more.
That’s all for now, folks. I’ll speak to you next week. Happy holidays!
P.S. I have a podcast coming, and I am so excited to finally share the news with you! If you have been putting off getting your CTS — join the club. But I am here to help! Join me via Study With Steph as I study to take the exam and invite experts to give me their best study tips and answer my questions along the way. Coming to a screen near you in January.
