Welcome to the latest issue of the ProAV newsletter, #AVtweeps. It’s no secret that I love a theme (I hope you’ve been enjoying that my hidden Disney songs are back in the intros). But that is not the theme I am referring to today. The theme for this newsletter is restructuring and staying one jump ahead.
In his blog about home studios, Scott Tiner writes that he and many of us “don’t need great lighting when sitting in my home office talking to co-workers. But what about people doing sales pitches, or executives of companies that are meeting with their boards or giving updates to their organizations?” Are we about to see a shift in the market, offering more to make the home studio truly professional but at a reasonable price?
Jon Sidwick offers similar thought processes — as he encourages companies to focus on technology that moves between the home and the office the way that workers are going to in the near future.
I’d venture to ask all of you — do you think the question is IF the market will totally shift — or is it WHEN?
Consider that while you read the other news I bring to you today. A few of my favorite headlines from this week: Yamaha UC says its ADECIA products will ship in 2021, JAM Industries bought The Music People, plus check out a cool case study about rAVe’s favorite university!
Have a great rest of the week!
