Hey, everybody. I’m pretty sure I’ve written (in the recent past) about how working in this industry during COVID-19 either feels like you’re coasting on a bike or you’re running on a hamster wheel that happens to be on fire. There is no in-between. Well, we’re back on the hamster-wheel cycle, and I am constantly trying to find ways to be kind to myself when I can’t meet my own standards.
People — much like technology — are never going to be perfect. While with the solutions that many of you spec and sell, there are things like latency, bugs, glitches, with people, it’s a little more complicated to pinpoint a “problem.” We’re just not made to be perfect! We mess up on projects because it’s just like that sometimes. And if no one else tells you that it’s OK, I will. I am the queen of being too hard on myself, and it’s something I’m working on. So hopefully my little spiel reminds you that it’s fine for you to work on it too.
Enjoy this week’s spread — because the columns are super cool. We’re talking diversity, AV-over-IP and generally about how the AV industry will influence the trajectory of COVID-19. Also, catch our personal news about LAVNCH EMEA!
Have a great rest of the week. Be kind to yourselves. Drink water.
