It’s been an interesting week in ProAV, at least from the rAVe side of things. This week, I’ve been tuned into the first-ever virtual InfoComm, largely focused on ProAV, and it’s been great. I wrote an article on how you can navigate the virtual experience (link is below), as it can be a lot to take in at first. But I have to be honest: Yesterday, I got pretty sad (real tears were shed) that I wasn’t going to see all your beautiful faces in person this week. After ISE 2013, InfoComm was my second-ever AV industry trade show. Thanks to digital media and the rAVe microsite archives, I can look back and be reminded of it: the booths I saw, the people I met and THE GAME 4 — which, that year, was PLINKO. We even gave away a smart car on the show floor.
But I’m reminding myself that this, too, shall pass. We’ll all be back together soon.
In addition to two columns this week (Scott Tiner on strategy and Chris Gillespie on part 2 of ITIL/ITSM for AV), lots — LOTS — of product and industry news below; I won’t attempt to preview it all here. Just go see. Also, #ICYMI: LAVNCH WEEK 2.0 registration is still open, but (*transitions to radio-announcer voice*) for a limited time only! Register here: http://rave.pub/LAVNCHweek2.
Love you all, but I gotta go. I have work to do.
