Has anyone ever said, “A heavy news week is a good news week?” Maybe/probably not. Our industry is perhaps one of the only ones in which a heavy news week indicates something good is happening. In our case, the good thing now is that we are shifting — though at first shell-shocked — to meet the new demands of the market.
Markets are pretty much always changing (that’s why stocks make me nervous), but I will admit they don’t usually change this quickly. I can’t imagine another industry that could pick up and alter the entire trajectories of product lines or design new concepts to meet the needs of end users and consumers as quickly. Are we okay right now? We’re getting there.
As I alluded above, we’re packed with news in this issue. We begin with five columns detailing subjects from the death of facial recognition technology (RIP always in our thoughts) to an overview of AVIXA’s impact of COVID-19 on ProAV businesses webinar. There’s plenty of food for thought.
In terms of product news, we have news from Roland, Epson, Sony, DPA Microphones, Navori Labs and more. Pick your poison.
For reading this far, here’s a treat in the form of a tweet. (I am aware my sense of humor has gone out the window, thanks for noticing.)
