You know, we write these letters that go at the beginning of our newsletters all the time. And it makes sense to write one about COVID-19 and things we’re doing or things that are happening and shows that are being postponed or canceled (which you can read about below). But you’ve received many letters in the past few weeks about COVID-19. Really, the list of executives who haven’t sent a message out about the “steps their company is taking” to address the recent crisis is very short, and you’re probably sick of letters. So I won’t talk about social distancing (though I hope you’re doing that) or working from home policies or anything like that.
Obviously, when events are canceled or postponed, it hits many of our people hard, either very directly or tangentially, and we need to do what we can to lift them up in the coming weeks and months. And while it might be hard to remember now, when collective anxiety is high, and the future is uncertain, don’t forget that we’ve made it through tough times, economically and otherwise, before. This, too, shall pass. Take care of yourselves and, as much as you possibly can, take care of others.
We’ve also been working on something really cool for awhile, and we’ve teamed up with Zoom to bring it to you the last week of April, starting April 27th. It’s called LAVNCH WEEK (it’s just pronounced “launch” — we like putting AV in the middle of words) and it will be a place to earn CTS credits, see new products, learn about new technology and network with industry experts, all without leaving your office (or home). If you’re interested, be one the first to be let in here.
