It’s been one hell of a month. And we are only one week in, so buckle up, people!
In case you missed it — THE rAVe Agency has gotten a little bigger and brighter these past few months. To help manage our growth and maintain our quality, we hired Mandy Beckner as our new president and chief operating officer. I met with her earlier today — and can I just say she’s fantastic, and I can’t wait to talk about the projects she’s going to help us with.
For news within this newsletter, Lee Distad always catches the vibe for the story that needs to be told. From my understanding, managing lead times is something that many of you are probably struggling with as one of the million issues that COVID-19 has thrown our way. Production = longer. Transit times = longer. Shipping = longer. So, I hope you know that Lee is on your side and that you can take good things away from the advice that he offers.

There are a lot of complications that we have to face today as a result of COVID. Some complications were easy to foresee, and some took us by surprise. Either way, we’ve all had to adapt and find solutions. One huge complication is that lead times for products and their delivery have been greatly extended. It’s a domino effect. Production times in factories are longer. Transit times in and out of sorting depots are longer. Getting picked and shipped from the vendor or distributor warehouses takes longer to get to the dealer’s locations.
