Yay, it’s Friday! How has your week been? We had a great LAVNCH WEEK 5 last week (don’t miss the recap articles by yours truly!), so this week wasn’t as busy for the rAVe team. Any fun plans for the weekend ahead?
Our first column is by Gary Kayye himself and begs the question, “how hybrid are you?” With live events being so heavily impacted by the pandemic over the past two years, is there light at the end of the tunnel for their return? Gary says yes —and the Rental market will need to take advantage of the return of live events. The key is making them truly hybrid — find out what that means in this article!
The second column we have discusses the tragedy in Ukraine and the impact that the Russian invasion will have on the AV economy. In “War for Ukraine and the AV Business,” Bob Snyder discusses how the AV industry has lost Ukraine and Russia as AV markets and how that causes a long-lasting scar to form in the world of audiovisual. One message Bob wants everyone to take with them: our Russian AV business colleagues are not responsible for these events.
Lastly, a lighter column by Rob Voorhees on overcoming fear — and yes, fear can be a powerful tool. We all fear failure, and though there’s no one size fits all answer to overcoming our fears, we can fail successfully. Find out what that means in this column!
That’s all I’ve got! See ya next time!
