DVIGear’s DisplayNet 4K Products Featured at ISE 2018 DVIGear is exhibiting the latest SDVoE technology in its DisplayNet AV-Over-10GbE distribution platform at ISE 2018 in Amsterdam, NL on Feb. 6-9 in Stand 1-N30. DVIGear is also demonstrating its suite of end-to-end 4K (UHD) video distribution solutions at the show, including its new generation HyperLight DisplayPort v1.4 Active Optical Cables and the DVI-7340 / DVI-7341 MultiPort 4K Fiber Optic Extenders.
The DN-200 Series is an extension of the DisplayNet AV-over-IP product line. Each Transmitter accepts multiple source signals including HDMI (with embedded audio and HDCP), DisplayPort, analog stereo audio, bidirectional IR, RS232 and 1GbE Ethernet. These input signals are packetized into a 10GbE stream and are distributed to destinations via an off-the- shelf 10GbE network switch. The DN-200 Series supports twisted pair (Cat6a or Cat7) media up to 328 feet (100 meters) or fiber optic media using an industry standard SFP+ module supporting extension distances up to 18 miles (30 km). The 10GbE switch provides a highly efficient and reliable means of distributing AV signals from many sources to an array of Receiver units, which convert the packetized data to AV output signals at the destination in real time without introducing frame latency or any loss of image quality.
The DN-200 Series uses SDVoE technology to distribute uncompressed AV signals with resolutions up to 4K /60p over a 10GbE Ethernet network. The DN-200 Series adds support for HDMI 2.0 with up to 12-bit color, HDCP 2.2, DisplayPort 1.2 and High Speed USB 2.0. A scaler in both the Transmitter (Tx) and Receiver (Rx) units enables very Fast Switching, MultiViewer, and enhanced Video Wall processing. DN-200 transmitter and receiver units are available starting at $1,350 per end point.
DVIGear will also exhibit its latest DNS-200 DisplayNet Server at the show. DisplayNet Server provides a central interface between the control equipment/software and the DisplayNet endpoint devices. This server supports web browser-based DisplayNet Manager software that provides control features, as well as tools to facilitate the use of third party controllers that enable DisplayNet to be easily integrated into AV applications.
DVIGear’s HyperLight Series is a new generation of Active Optical Cables (AOC) that support DisplayPort 1.4 and are HDCP 1.4 / 2.2 compliant and support signals with data rates up to 32.4 Gbps. These features enable HyperLight cables to support resolution applications at 4K / 60Hz (4:4:4) with cable lengths up to 100 meters and 8K / 30Hz (4:4:4) up to 50 meters.
HyperLight cables are plenum-rated (UL CMP-OF) and flexible. Constructed using a hybrid design of Polyfluorinated Optical Fiber and copper wires, they are rugged but with a two millimeters minimum bend radius. DisplayPort docking connectors may be detached making the cables easy to install in narrow conduits and plenum spaces. Video signals are transmitted over the optical fibers, making them immune to interference from environmental noise. The optical transmission path provides a very low RFI / EMI profile that allows the cables to be installed in sensitive applications with strict security requirements. By drawing power from the connected DisplayPort source, the need for an external power supply is fully eliminated.
The DVI-7340 and DVI-7341 are 4K optical extenders that can achieve much greater distances than other extension methods such as copper cables or CAT-X extenders. Each extender set consists of an optical transmitter module that converts the AV signals into light pulses for transmission over a single strand of multi-mode or single-mode optical fiber cable. An optical receiver module converts the light pulses back to AV signals for the display as well as other downstream devices. The units handle cable distances of up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) with or without HDCP. In applications where HDCP compliance is not required, optical links up to 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) are supported. The extenders manage multiple signals such as uncompressed HDMI or DVI, embedded audio, balanced or unbalanced external audio, bidirectional IR, RS232 and Ethernet using a single fiber optic cable. Managing HDMI with embedded audio as well as independently routed balanced audio signal extension, they support resolutions up to 4K (UHD), and offer three EDID modes. The DVI-7340 and DVI-7341 are shipping now at $1,350 list price per set.
DVIGear will also at ISE 2018 in Stand 1-N30 or you can see it all here. Leave a Comment

New Crestron DM XiO Director Network Appliance Is for DM NVX AV SystemsCrestron announced the DM XiO Director at ISE 2018. An enterprise-grade network appliance, the DM XiO Director centrally configures, manages, and controls DM NVX network AV systems. The DM XiO Director is available in three models, depending on the number of DM NVX endpoints. The software tool enables device discovery, domain configuration, endpoint mapping, multicasting management, and status monitoring. DM NVX Series is a 4K60, 4:4:4 (with HDR video) over 1Gb Ethernet.
The DM XiO Director is designed to emulate the functionality of a traditional hardware-based DigitalMedia matrix switcher, routing 4K60 streaming AV signals throughout a room, building, or campus. Three models are offered which support 80 (DM-XIO-DIR-80), 160 (DM-XIO-DIR-160), or up to 1,000 (DM-XIO-DIR-ENT) endpoint devices. DM XiO Director can handle even the largest corporate enterprise, university, governmental, military, medical, transportation, sports, entertainment, hospitality, gaming, or retail application.
Crestron said the DM XiO Director automatically discovers each DM NVX endpoint on the network, and allows each one to be assigned to a “domain” using a simple UI. A domain is simply a logical grouping of endpoints that operate together as a single switching entity, allowing individual rooms and other subsystems to be arranged and controlled independently. The DM XiO Director effectively eliminates the need for physical switchers in every room, replacing them with the virtual equivalent running on the AV network.
The DM XiO Director provides a web-based user interface to facilitate system configuration, signal routing, and comprehensive diagnostics of the complete AV network. Each domain and endpoint can be designated with a user-friendly name.

Nureva Announces the Dual HDL300 Now for Larger SpacesNureva Inc announces the Dual HDL300 audio conferencing system, which is optimized for meeting spaces up to 20′ x 40′ (6.10 x 12.19 m) and a maximum operating range of 30′ x 50′ (9.14 x 15.24 meters). The dual system is the second model in the HDL300 audio conferencing system product line, which launched in June 2017. Powered by Microphone Mist technology, the Dual HDL300 system fills a room with up to 16,384 virtual microphones that pick-up sound throughout the space, regardless of where in-room meeting participants are standing or the direction they are facing. This ensures that remote participants have a natural audio experience and can collaborate effectively. The system consists of two wall-mounted integrated microphone and speaker bars that plug into a single connector box, which is connected to a laptop or meeting room computer.
The single HDL300 system, which is optimized for spaces up to 20′ x 20′ (6.10 x 6.10 meters), is widely recognized for its remarkable audio pickup, simple installation and autocalibration capabilities. The new Dual HDL300 system was developed in response to customer demand to bring these capabilities into larger, dynamic spaces where the challenge of delivering quality audio conferencing is even greater. These spaces include briefing centers, training rooms, conference rooms, learning labs and a range of multipurpose rooms. They often involve participants moving around the room — speaking from many locations and facing almost any direction. Powered by the next generation of Microphone Mist technology, the system can handle the audio requirements of these spaces without the complexity and cost of more elaborate solutions. The technology uses sophisticated algorithms to simultaneously process and integrate sound from two sets of virtual microphones that fill the room and feed the sound to remote participants. This, combined with simultaneous echo cancellation, position-based automatic gain control and sound masking, creates a clear and natural audio experience.
The Dual HDL300 audio conferencing system will be available for order in March 2018 through a global network of value-added dealers and distributors and will ship in June 2018. The European MSRP is US $6,499.

Biamp Systems Tries Again With New Version of Devio Collaboration PlatformIf you don’t succeed, you try again, right? Well, Biamp Systems today announced the next generation of the company’s Devio collaboration platform. Devio is the first collaboration solution that integrates Beamtracking microphones.
Many conference rooms feature microphones or integrated audio devices that are static. Equipped with Biamp’s patented beamtracking technology, Devio microphones not only identify and lock onto a signal source, but also track that source as they move around the room. This ability to capture participants’ conversation as they collaborate, while mixing conversations from around the table, allows far-end conference participants to experience a more natural-sounding conversation as it unfolds.
The new Devio product family includes the following:
- Devio CR-1: A fixed configuration DSP optimized for small rooms and ready for the demands of BYOD use cases.
- The new Devio SCR-20: Building on the capabilities of the Devio CR-1 with additions that include full integration of HDMI audio, support for 4K30 video and HDCP 1.4.
- The new Devio SCR-25: Adds to the capabilities of the SCR-20 with support for Bluetooth wireless technology and a wired VoIP/POTS headset interface.
- Devio DTM-1 (tabletop) / DCM-1 (ceiling) microphones
The Devio base unit can be mounted under the table or surface or behind the display. Multiple speaker options are supported, including a ceiling speaker powered by the integrated amplifier, powered speakers connected via RCA line-out or even the integrated display speakers. The Devio microphone form factors require little or no table space while being centrally positioned within the room.
The new Devio SCR-20 and SCR-25 are sold bundled with either the DTM-1 or DCM-1 microphone, and will be available in the second quarter of 2018. All of the specs are here. Leave a Comment

Renkus-Heinz Announces New ICONYX Steerable Arrays Renkus-Heinz has significantly expanded its family of acclaimed ICONYX-series digitally steerable column arrays, introducing the new IC8-HD, IC Live X, and IC Live XL. The IC Live X and IC Live XL deliver even higher SPL than the current ICLive’s, while the IC8-HD is Renkus-Heinz’ highest-definition array ever.
As with other ICONYX-series arrays, the new models deliver digital beam-steering technology that precisely aims the sound at the audience and away from walls and ceilings. This combination of Renkus-Heinz technologies enables systems that cover even the most problematic spaces, while the slim enclosures remain vertical and inconspicuous.
Renkus-Heinz’ new IC8-HD combines precise beam steering with the finest audio performance using 32 discrete amplifier/DSP channels to control its 24 high-frequency drivers and eight 4-inch low-mid woofers.
The IC8-HD is compatible with all ICONYX Gen5 modules. Combining the new high-definition arrays with ICONYX Gen5 models enhances the low-frequency response and provides superior sound in a cost-effective system.
The new ICLive X features individually controlled and amplified two eight-inch woofers and six one-inch high-frequency compression drivers. Its compact cabinet can be mounted on a tripod stand, pole-mounted above a subwoofer or installed in tall, continuous arrays. Presets allow for point-source use, with software-adjustable vertical coverage angles.
Create an even more flexible and wide-ranging system with enhanced low-mid directivity and sound pressure level by adding the new Renkus-Heinz IC Live XL, which employs four eight-inch woofers. The IC Live X and IC Live XL can be combined to maximize scalability and flexibility. Mount the IC Live X above, below or between the IC Live XLs to create an optimal system for the space. Combine as many arrays as needed for mobile or fixed installation use.

Pliant Technologies CrewCom Wireless Intercom System Ships Pliant Technologies is now shipping its professional wireless intercom system, CrewCom. The CrewCom wireless intercom range of products will be on display at ISE 2018 (Stand 7-X200) along with additional product offerings from Pliant.
CrewCom claims the industry’s smallest fully-featured professional full-duplex wireless radio packs, multiple simultaneous frequency bands, as well as a host of truly amazing user features. With CrewCom, production crews of all sizes can now easily and quickly deploy communications solutions to connect more people in more places than ever before.
For the small system and UHF-replacement market, CrewCom offers the easiest system deployment along with the most user friendly radio pack on the market. Even the most basic CrewCom system offers full features at a very competitive price. For high user count system requirements, the revolutionary design of CrewCom offers a significant price advantage for larger demanding applications, when comparing the actual cost of deploying many wireless users in a production. CrewCom offers 1,024 conferences that provide the flexibility of a matrix/party-line without the cost. Unlike a matrix-based architecture, CrewCom is based on a decentralized platform that puts system resources where they are needed, without the limitations found in a matrix. This entirely innovative approach to professional wireless intercoms enables CrewCom to handle almost any application from simple out-of-the-box solutions to large-scale designs for a range of installation projects for live sound, broadcast and industrial environments and more.
Pliant created a proprietary network for CrewCom called CrewNet. This network coordinates and transports all system timing, audio conferences, signaling, and control. CrewNet can operate over standard Cat-5e (or greater) and single mode fiber lines, breaking the current barriers for wireless intercom range. In addition, CrewCom’s highly-intuitive graphical software, called CrewWare, provides for comprehensive offline configuration, online control and real-time monitoring of all system components. These new software tools augment CrewCom’s ease-of-use and flexible system scalability. While this is a powerful tool available to all users, it is not required to operate the system.
CrewCom wireless products are available in 2.4GHz and 900MHz (900MHz are limited to where this band is legal). Any combination of these frequency ranges may be simultaneously used on the same CrewCom system, giving the ability to easily put global-friendly, dependable RF coverage where needed, all while employing a consistent user interface throughout the system.

Peerless-AV Intros SmartMount Supreme Full Service Video Wall Mount with Quick ReleasePeerlessAV is introducing at ISE 2018 the SmartMount Supreme Full Service Video Wall Mount with Quick Release (DS-VW775-QR).
Designed with the needs of integrators and end-users in mind, the DS-VW775-QR offers what Peerless-AV says is innovative, time-saving installation and maintenance features, including tool-less micro adjustment, easy hang wall plate, quick release mechanism and reusable spacers for both portrait and landscape applications.
With the addition of tool-less lateral micro-adjustment, the DS-VW775-QR offers 1.5″ of fine tune adjustment on each of the X, Y and Z axes. The mount also features prominently colored adjustment knobs for easier set-up and maintenance. Serviceability is easier than ever before with the press to release pop-out feature, providing quick and convenient access to a recessed display without searching for hidden pull strings. The gentle release mechanism requires less pressure to pop-out a display than other video wall mounts, giving peace of mind that the delicate pixel structure will not be damaged from pressing too hard on the display front.
Reusable spacers can be used for both portrait and landscape applications resulting in a faster and more cost-effective install. Enhanced cable management allows the cables to effortlessly travel in and out with the display, eliminating the chance of interfering with the mount, as well.
The standard version DS-VW775, launched in 2016, has the same feature set as the new DS-VW775-QR, but offers unique red pop-out levers above and below. When the mount is fully extended it offers an extra 2″ of service space from the wall compared to the SmartMount Full-Service Video Wall Mount with Quick Release (DS-VW765-LQR/PQR).
The DS-VW775-QR is 4.5lbs lighter and the DS-VW775 is 10lbs lighter than the DS-VW765-LQR Full-Service Video Wall Mount with Quick Release. This makes these mounts even easier to handle and position, especially when combined with the installation app and reusable display-dedicated wall plate spacers. Using the easy hang keyhole adaptor plate, a single installer can simply hook the mount onto the wall, providing a hands-free environment to secure it.
The DS-VW775-QR and DS-VW775 support 46″ to 60″ displays with a maximum load of 56.8kg (125 pounds) and VESA pattern up to 600×400. Included security hardware makes the DS-VW775-QR suitable for public environments to deter tampering and theft.

For all you REGULAR readers of rAVe ProAV Edition out there, hopefully you enjoyed another opinion-packed issue!
For those of you NEW to rAVe, you just read how we are — we are 100 percent opinionated.
