Hello rAVe Europe readers, and welcome to the latest edition of our newsletter! If you haven’t taken a good look around here recently, you’ll see that we gave this newsletter a bit of a makeover — but only because we wanted to make it extra clear that it belongs with the other newsletters we offer at rAVe [PUBS]. Just like last time, most of the news links to stories we publish on our Europe microsite on rAVePUBS.com, but as I told you last time — some things never change. Bob Snyder is still here, and he refuses to let me get too American or say “y’all” too much. Don’t miss his column below, also, on Microsoft because the company does not want you to forget that it does audio!
Once you’re through giving the columns a good look-through, you’ll see that the news below is separated into a few different sections. Product News, Industry News and Case Studies are all news within Europe, but Technology to Watch is all about news from outside Europe. However, it’s still significant enough to warrant coverage and inclusion within the newsletter.
Also, like last time, we have a ton of news included here, with the most significant news being the cancellation of DSE — which, of course, came with the report that Exponation filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I’ve talked in the past about how this type of information is my least favorite to report on. But things move on, and we included quotes from a few different parties — all have incredibly positive outlooks about the future. Digital signage isn’t going to go away, primarily because businesses rely on it to spread information during COVID-19. I believe that there will eventually be another expo, maybe not with the same name, but hopefully with the same amount of heart. The industry has a tremendous capability of picking itself up when things are down, so I’m excited to see what’s next and then tell you all about it.
Cheers!
