What a busy time of year it’s turned out to be! While many of you are prepping for the summer months — a time when you are undoubtedly installing new solutions in classrooms all over and preparing them for fall — you’re also prepping for trade show season.
I hope I’ll see you at ISE in two weeks — however, if you won’t be joining this time, be sure to register to attend ISE rePLAY! We will be featuring two separate versions of the virtual event: one for those in the U.S. and one for our EMEA friends. If you’re planning on attending InfoComm, do register and use the code RAVE for a free exhibitor pass! See you in Vegas!
In terms of our columns this time, Bob Snyder writes about the newest offering from Google that uses AI technology to sense the person approaching and intelligently adjusts all technology to that person’s settings. In a classroom, wouldn’t it be nice if the room tech would automatically turn on and adjust when a certain teacher enters? Wouldn’t this be nice in universities where professors share classroom spaces? Food for thought!
Finally, Jeff Hastings writes about a different type of education — industry education. Whose burden is it to have all the industry education? So often, we place it on integrators but should we? Shouldn’t manufacturers have that same responsibility? End users? All others in the industry? Just some more food for thought on your Monday.
Enjoy your week, #AVtweeps.
