Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope you’re having a great start to your week. For our first column, check out “E4 Evolution — Hybrid, Holographic and Hopeful.” I wrote this piece to cover the entire day of Almo Pro A/V‘s E4 Experience. The LAVNCH VTS platform offered a virtualized way to attend the show, and there was an important crossover in staging the in-person event with the virtual side. Madelyn Welch, multimedia manager here at rAVe, wrote about why it is important to be able to stage in-person events in a hybrid fashion:
“Our industry largely relies on in-person events since so many of the products require in-depth demos instead of pictures and spec sheets to understand the products fully. As we shift back to in-person events, there are still factors that prevent certain attendees from attending. Making sure you have the right AV setup for a hybrid event makes sure there is equity among those experiencing the event in-person and virtually.”
Our second column is by writer Murphy Daley and reminds us about the importance of lists. AV is busy this time of year, and with holiday concerts, work parties and other events, staging a connected, hybrid and celebratory setup is at the top of our list of goals. Make sure to check your lists twice, and don’t miss Murphy’s tips on making helpful and organized lists during the holidays.
That’s it for this time around! You’ll hear from me soon, but even so, I wish you a merry Christmas, happy holidays and a wonderful New Year! I’ll see you next time.
