I am on an early flight to Seattle this weekend for a ~fun trip~ to the PNW before the holiday season hits full swing. The night before an early flight, I almost always roll over at least once or twice thinking that it is one hour after my flight departed. As much as I love air travel, it keeps me up at night.
Leonard Suskin talks about the recent shift of of focus in the home market to home integrations in his column series “What Keeps an AV Professional Up at Night.” He talks control and its relation to the touch panel. Is the touch panel on its way out? Is voice taking over? Read on to find out!
Product news from RTI, Savant, Egan, Klipsch, Crestron, Da-Lite and more is just a couple of clicks down. And don’t miss the industry news out of CEDIA, Rayva and Luxul.
“Alexa, good morning” is what I say when it is finally time for me to wake up to head to the airport. She responds promptly, “Good morning, Jacob. It’s a great day – here is the weather and your daily news briefing.” And then she triggers the smart outlet that turns my bedroom lights on.
Have a great weekend, my friends.
