April  29, 2025 | Volume: 14 | Issue 4

Hi everyone! I can’t believe April is almost over! Because that means there is still a lot to get done. And that means InfoComm is now a little over a month away … so much to do! If you, like me, are in a daily losing battle with your to-do list, it always helps to take a breather. So, take a breather with me and listen to a few of these podcast episodes we’ve pulled together for ya. From the coolest producer-free camera switching product to some very cool lecterns that Gary got to check out in a literal parking lot, our Rants & rAVes podcasts have a lot to offer you this month.

Also, in the latest in rAVe [TV] we have all our NAB Show coverage, LAVNCH WEEK 11 updates and a few of the latest and greatest industry stories as well. Enjoy!

Episode 1415: Datavideo’s VoiceTRX100 is the Easiest Way to Add Auto 4K Switching to Your Podcast Studio

In this episode of Rants & rAVes, I got a hands-on look at the new Datavideo VoiceTRX100, an AI-based video switcher designed specifically for podcasting. No technical director required. FEATURED RAVE [TV] EPISODE

Episode 211: Visual Alerting, Tariff Talk and Tim Albright Joins Me as Co-Host

This week, I had a new co-host — Tim Albright joined me, and we had plenty to cover. I shared some other impressions from NAB Show 2025, and we talked through some of the biggest stories in AV. We were also joined by David Anderson from Mimo Monitors, who walked us through FlashCast — and a new integration with Singlewire Software. We got into the technical side of how it works, the value of visual alerting (especially for accessibility) and why this partnership makes so much sense right now.
