Latest headlines: Nathan Haynes on the experience economy, the ISE team writes about what to expect from ISE 2023, plus news from Sony

December 20, 2022 | Volume: 14 | Issue: 24

Although a digital signage client/customer is quite different from those in other areas of AV, all AV clients can be boiled down to one universal truth: They want your solution to improve their lives. Whether you improve it in a small or giant way, it’s still up to you to come up with something that does this in at least some form or fashion. This is, as Nathan Haynes describes it, known as the experience economy. It’s more than just selling boxes and solutions — and your clients don’t care about that.

In our other column this time, get ready for ISE 2023. Will I see any of you in Barcelona in 2023? Learn more about what’s in store at the Fira in this piece from the ISE team.

Finally, I’m giving you all a gift this holiday season. While I know you, subscribers to this newsletter, are not new to the digital signage industry, you probably have interns, new workers at your companies or you’re looking to recruit new talent from different backgrounds. This piece from Murphy Daley is a nice toe-dip into the waters of digital signage for those who are just learning about the industry. Feel free to forward and share with all the industry newbies you know.

Happy holidays!
