Hello, rAVe Ed readers, and happy March! Wow, spring break is already upon us (and all the students are headed for good times under the sea — so it’s time to get that classroom tech in tip-top shape), and I feel like I was just telling y’all to have a happy New Year. Seriously — can anyone tell me where the time went? Anyways, we’re getting ready for a busy trade show season over here at rAVe. This month, we have Enterprise Connect AND the Digital Signage Expo! As always, if you aren’t able to make those this year, you have our comprehensive coverage to look forward to! Be on the lookout for all microsite information on rAVePUBS.com!
For columns today, I’d first like to give you Scott Tiner’s second installment of his Universal Design in classrooms series. He walks us through the final design principles and how YOU can start incorporating it into your school. I also humbly present you with the highly anticipated Kayye’s Krystal Ball — where Gary predicts the future of our industry! I will say, he’s pretty accurate. Give it a read if you want to know what we’re in for this year! For the final column, Dr. Fred Ampel writes about the “rules” of sound implementation and design — and whether sales/marketing departments adhere to these when trying to sell a product.
In other news, BenQ has a new education projector, Vivitek expanded the Novo Ecosystem and Yamaha has announced a discount program for education customers.
Enjoy!
