This is the kind of intro to one of our publications that I hate to write.
We recently lost Bill Sharer, an educational icon and sales-guru in our market, and I knew him, taught with him and listened to his all-night stories in my most formative years in AV. But few knew him as well as my friend, Joel Rollins, who perfectly writes about Bill’s legacy, our loss and his personal experiences with Bill. I hope you will read his column, below, even if you didn’t know him. This line, from his column, sums-up it up perfectly: “Bill was a true believer in the idea that every encounter with a client represents ‘a moment of truth.'” RIP Bill.
The rest of this issue seems trivial when you’re left with a loss like this. Thank you for reading and enjoy your last week of summer.
