I’m on a plane on my way back from Barcelona, where I was checking out the new venue for Integrated Systems Europe when they move in 2021. It was a true hardship heading to Spain in the summer, but for you my dear readers, I was willing to make that sacrifice. You can read my thoughts on the move from Amsterdam, ISE’s home for more than a decade, in my column below.

Today we also feature our Best of InfoComm 2018 awards. We’re really proud of these, which take awhile to put out, because our whole team watches all the videos we shoot during the show (yes, that’s like 1,700 videos) to find the best stuff introduced and shown on the trade show floor. There’s no way for companies to submit products for awards consideration, so basically everything at the show is entered. It’s a time consuming process, but we hope you think the end result is worth it. Don’t agree with our choices? Let us know why or why not in the comments on the awards, or email me and Gary to let us know.

We also have a column from Mark Coxon on everything he wishes was introduced at InfoComm 2018, as well as a lot of news from ClearOne, RTW, Revolution Acoustics, Extron, Just Add Power and others.

It’s only… six more hours until I touch down in Atlanta. I think it’s time for a nap.

-Sara Abrons
