Latest headlines: Scott Tiner on the back to work movement and what that means for workspaces, plus news from Extron, GLP, QSC and more

Welcome, everyone, to those few days between the holidays and the New Year where it’s basically a no man’s land of reflection, trying to catch up but also trying to get ahead? I wish you luck with all three.
I want to talk briefly about Scott Tiner’s column featured below. He writes about the back-to-work movement, surely to happen at some point in 2021 as COVID (hopefully) runs its course, and we slowly transition back to office life. Will our working lives look drastically different? Will our conferencing spaces be more high-tech? Scott provides some very useful insights for why he thinks conferencing technology in office spaces won’t be all that different in the next year.
Also, we have some product updates from Listen Technologies, Extron, QSC and more. And in Zoom news — it’s the top UCC platform for the fifth year in a row, according to Gartner.
I wonder whether the actual technology in these newly arranged office spaces will change much from what it was like in March of 2020. Sure, there will be more meeting spaces, but those meeting spaces will be more of the same. They will be a place for people in the office to go to to meet with people who are not. But they won’t lead to a drastically different technology, at least in the near future.
