So, I walked. I’ve walked every single day — three to five hours a day — since I got out of the hospital on May 14. In those early days, two hours of walking might have equaled a mile. Now I’m logging 12 to 15 miles in just a few hours. He told me daily walking would speed up cardiac recovery. No jogging, no swimming, no biking, and absolutely no running — nothing that would raise my heart rate above 130.
As I got closer to booking my ticket — literally this past Friday — the only question left was plane or train. Could my lungs handle the pressure of flying? He gave me the OK to fly, and I arrived last night.
InfoComm wasn’t just a destination — it was the goal. It was what got me moving on days I felt awful and even on days when the rain was pouring. My biggest friend group is a bunch of #AVtweeps. I’m the godfather to the daughter of my best friend in the AV industry. I love the experience of InfoComm.
So, for me, being here at IC25 is sublimity.
