The Best in the Industry Honored at EXPO ‘07 CEDIA Members took time out at CEDIA EXPO Saturday, September 8, 2007 to celebrate the best-of-the-best at the Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Banquet. CEDIA honored 50 of its members for excellence in both design and installation, as well as the best new and innovative products in the residential electronic systems industry.
Work submitted for the prestigious Electronic Lifestyles® Designer Awards is completed in consumer homes across the globe in the following categories: home theaters, integrated homes, media rooms, hidden installations, and more. Submissions range from $40,000 single-room projects to whole-house integration systems that carry price tags topping $3 million. In addition to the Designer Awards, CEDIA presented Manufacturers' Excellence Awards to honor its manufacturer members on Saturday as well. These awards are designed to recognize five of the most innovative products that most enhance a CEDIA residential electronic systems contractor's business. All of the award winners will be published in the Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Book with color images and essay explanations of the projects’ challenges and products used. Awards Books are available for $10 for CEDIA Members and $15 for non members at www.cedia.org/store, beginning Monday, Sept. 17. Additionally, award winners will be featured in an issue of CEDIA’s Electronic Lifestyles® magazine later this year. Electronic Lifestyles® magazine is a high-quality publication that provides architects, builders and interior designers as well as consumers a great resource to learn about residential electronic systems.
