Nantes (France), 20th January 2023 – Arbane Groupe will again be exhibiting at ISE 2023 (Fira de Barcelona, 31st January to 3rd  February) on stand #7B100. Amongst the latest products and solutions from the French audio manufacturer brands APG and Active Audio, one show highlight for the pro-audio community will undoubtedly be APG’s NESS, the industry’s first-ever 100% free spatialisation software developed by a manufacturer.

Going against the industry trend of monetising access to spatialisation for audio professionals and aficionados alike, APG will unveil NESS for the first time to an international audience, after presenting the software at JTSE. ISE visitors will get a unique chance  to get their hands on this new free and user friendly tool available to all.

According to Eric Grandmougin, marketing director at Arbane Groupe: “NESS isn’t just another spatialisation software: Before everything else, it is a human and technical experience. The Wave Field Synthesis principles have been publicly available for decades, and it didn’t seem right to capitalise on knowledge that is freely available. We are merely trying to give back to the audio community, by providing technicians and enthusiasts with a tool that is not only simple to use, but also fairly extensive to create spatialised sound.”

Available to download from the new-look Arbane Groupe website, NESS enables entertainment and corporate venue operators, including bars and nightclubs, theatres and conference rooms, to experiment with and benefit from immersive sound.

With NESS, APG aims to offer a robust, reliable spatialisation solution based on established, proven audio algorithms and principles. “Our ambition is to create a thriving community of users around NESS in order to tailor its development towards customer needs and expectations,” adds Grandmougin.

Although NESS is compatible with any speaker brand, it is also a great platform to experience APG speaker’s even coverage performance, in particular with the popular iX range.

A number of products from both APG and Active Audio will also be presented on the Arbane stand. For APG, these include SPOT2.6, its passive full-range compact loudspeaker with 2x 6.5” drivers and high directivity control, and the DA range of four-channel live touring amplifiers, developed in partnership with Powersoft. A new series of four channel DSP amplifiers dedicated to fixed installations, available under the APG (DA series) and Active Audio (MPA series) brands, will also be presented for the first time.

Active Audio, meanwhile, will showcase Ray-On, its series of superior-quality passive column loudspeakers with patented DGRC (digital and geometric radiation control) technology, as well as the Vendôme brand of stylish, sleek active loudspeakers dedicated to high-end retail and hospitality applications.
