AMX ‘Buckaroo Mountain Adventure’ Supports 20th Annual CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Parade of Playhouses

phppOKSqyPMRICHARDSON, Texas – July 15, 2015 – HARMAN’s AMX Marketing Team debuted their ‘Buckaroo Mountain Adventure’ playhouse and fourth annual entry into Dallas CASA’s annual charitable event being held at Dallas’ NorthPark Center, July 10 – 26. The 2015 Parade of Playhouses includes 16 creative playhouses built and donated by local companies and marks the 20th year that CASA and NorthPark Center have partnered to host the event aimed to raise awareness and funds for Dallas CASA, an organization of volunteers dedicated to helping abused and neglected children have safe, permanent homes.

‘Buckaroo Mountain Adventure’ effectively turns any backyard or play space into an expedition of the imagination for kids of all ages. Whether they want to race up the rock wall to see who can ring the bell first, plan a daring escape on the hideaway fold-down table or take a hammock snooze while listening to some tunes, there’s always a new adventure that awaits. “Buckaroo Mountain was probably one of the most fun we’ve had building these playhouses. For this one, we tried to think up how many different adventures we could pack into a single space,” said Jeff Kindig, Vice President, AMX Marketing Strategy. “We also got to throw in a bunch of cool extras this year but knowing how much the proceeds will benefit so many great kids in need is what really makes building the house fun.”

To ensure the adventures never stop, this year’s dual-level design features a downstairs clubhouse with in-wall hideaway table, a Castaways Hammock and an integrated JBL sound system featuring dual 6 ½” JBL marine loudspeakers and a 160 watt JBL marine amplifier with a 3.5mm stereo input to support any mobile device. The upstairs porch includes an open air deck with integrated rock climbing wall, winner’s bell and a beam and hook to hold the included Lifetime Products Kayak with custom seat and paddle. When it’ s time to venture away from the playhouse, a 20” Diamondback Mountain Bike and Mongoose Helmet are waiting outside as well as an Ozark Trail 4 Person Tent, two Ozark Trail sleeping bags, two water bottle backpacks and a Vivitar Waterproof DVR Camcorder to record all the fun.

From July 10 – 26; Dallas CASA and HARMAN’s AMX invite and encourage the community to visit NorthPark Center and the online Parade of Playhouses to check out all of this year’s playhouses, learn more about Dallas CASA, and purchase raffle tickets for any of the playhouses. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Visitors can also learn more about supporting and volunteering with this extremely worthwhile cause. “These playhouses represent our hope for abused and neglected children in Dallas,” said Kathleen M. LaValle, Dallas CASA executive director and president. “Some children dream of having their very own fantasy playhouses, but abused children dream of having safe and stable homes. We want all children to have loving and permanent homes. Sadly, almost half of abused children in protective care in Dallas County do not have CASA volunteer advocates. We look forward to the day when we have enough volunteers for each child to have an advocate.”

“We all look forward to the playhouse build each year because it’s a great team-building event for our department and it’s exciting to figure out what kids would enjoy the most in a playhouse,” said Lauren Kubicki, Project Manager, AMX Marketing. “The level of creativity and competition in these playhouse designs is pretty astonishing. There really are some amazing houses and in the end it’s good to know everyone is building for a great cause,” added Craig Weymouth, Social Media Manager, AMX Marketing.
