The Veteran’s Entrepreneurial Boot Camp, now in its twelfth year, provides veterans with a free full-day program of business advice presentations, topical panel discussions, and networking sessions. The program came to the attention of AmpliVox CEO Don Roth through a chance meeting with Priscilla Cordero, Director of SBDC at GSU, when they both were being honored with Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards by the Daily Herald Business Ledger. Roth was being recognized for AmpliVox’s history of community involvement, and he saw the SBDC program as a perfect fit for his company’s products and philosophy.
“This outstanding program helps two of the most worthy groups in our community: veterans and small businesses,” notes Roth. “I’m proud that AmpliVox will be able to provide top-quality presentation equipment for this event, so that the speakers can integrate any multimedia devices they choose and the audience can hear every word.”
The Veteran’s Entrepreneurial Boot Camp takes place in the Performing Arts Center at Governors State University, 1 University Place in University Park, Illinois, from 8:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday, November 13. The event is free of charge to veterans, and open to non-veterans for a registration fee of $40.
