Almo Corporation’s Warren Chaiken Receives Philadelphia Inquirer’s 2019 Top Leadership Award for Mid-Sized Companies

Philadelphia, PA — May 1, 2019 — Almo Corporation, the nation’s leading independent distributor of appliances, consumer electronics, Pro A/V equipment and housewares, today revealed that its President and CEO, Warren Chaiken has received a Philadelphia Inquirer 2019 Top Leadership Award for Mid-Sized Companies.

This follows a previous announcement about Almo earning a 2019 Philadelphia Inquirer Top Workplace award, marking the sixth time that Almo Corporation has been listed as a leader in the mid-size business category on the Top Workplace list.

A third-generation family-owned business with approximately 600 employees, Almo Corporation was founded in 1946 by Chaiken’s grandfather, then led by his father Gene Chaiken, who is currently Chairman of the Board for Almo Corporation.

According to Warren Chaiken, “I am humbled and honored to receive the Top Leadership Award solely because it’s based on the responses from our employees. This award is a reflection of our culture, a culture we’ve defined as Almo FIIT: family, integrity, innovation and teamwork.” He continued, “The Almo FIIT way of doing business is what makes us different and successful as an organization.
