Alfatron has introduced the ALF-USB3-EXT, a USB 3.0 over CAT extender capable of transmitting signals up to 80 meters (295 feet) over Cat6/6A/7 cabling. The device is designed to extend the reach of USB cameras, microphones, digital signal processors (DSPs), video bars and other USB peripherals.

The ALF-USB3-EXT includes both a receiver (RX) and transmitter (TX) and features four USB 3.0 ports for device connections. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 and supports USB 3.0 SuperSpeed, as well as USB 3.2 Gen1x1 and USB 3.1 Gen1 standards.

The extender supports hot-plugging, allowing users to connect and disconnect devices without requiring a system reboot. It also features Power over Cable (PoC), meaning only the receiver requires a direct power connection, reducing the need for additional power adapters.
