Alcons, Astro and Avid Partner for Immersive Audio Experience Room at InfoComm 2019

At InfoComm 2019, Alcons Audio will show the Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience again — partnering with Astral Spatial Audio and Avid this time. Located in an acoustically optimized-space in Demo Room W231A at the Orange County Convention Center, hour-long demonstrations of the updated Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience will be at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Tues., June 11 and at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Wed., June 12 – Fri., June 14.

The demonstrations will show how Alcons pro-ribbon systems are an optimum solution for a wide range of applications, delivering the best audio quality and intelligibility at all SPLs, with maximum gain before feedback. Astro Spatial Audio will demonstrate how using Alcons loudspeakers with its SARA II Premium Rendering Engine delivers the ultimate clarity and coverage for object-based immersive audio. In addition, during the 3 p.m. demonstration on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Robert Scovill, senior specialist at Avid Technologies, will be talking about live sound, immersive mixing, new Avid systems and how they lend themselves to immersive mix environments.

The Alcons Pro-Ribbon Immersive Experience system will highlight the company’s extensive range of point-source, point-source array, line-source and line-array products, showing how Alcons has the tools to satisfy the needs of any sound reinforcement situation. Products on demonstration will include the C-series reference surround speakers, L-series line arrays, V-series versatile monitors, B-series subwoofers, Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers and more.

New products on show will include a preview of the LR24 mid-size pro-ribbon line array, which fills the gap between the LR18 (compact mid-size) and LR28 (large format) systems, delivering Alcons signature high fidelity pro-ribbon sound with up to 90 percent less distortion than conventional line array systems. Along with its extended 1:15 RMS-to-peak power ratio dynamics, lobe-free HF wavefront with laser-accurate projection and superb throw, it is sure to impress InfoComm visitors as much as those at the European ProLight + Sound show in April.

Another new product will be the QR20 modular line-source array column, designed for smaller applications, where SPL and throw requirements are lower but the same unique directivity of the larger Q system solutions is needed

Alcons is here, while Astro is here and Avid is here.
