November, 2013 –Advantech announces its latest innovative digital signage display—DSD-5028 opens up a new choice of digital signage possibilities. The Advantech DSD-5028 series adopts LCD resizing technology and features a super-wide aspect ratio of 16:3 and high resolution of 1920 x 358, making it especially suitable for limited spaces to replace conventional LED signage used in transportation, elevators, and public venues. Compared to LED signage, DSD-5028 stretched signage display delivers better resolution while consuming 50% less power. It also supports a flexible wall mounting interface of 200 x 100 mm for easy installation, and can be bundled with Advantech digital signage players in a rear AD box for an all-in-one total solution.

Ultra Wide View with Space Saving
Advantech DSD-5028 with super-wide 16:3 aspect ratio easily grabs attention and is ideal for limited spaces restricted in height or volume. The series supports 1920 x 358 resolution, so high definition content can be perfectly presented on their narrow, ultra-wide surface. Its 178°(H)/ 178°(V) viewing angle also ensures that colors will be the most accurate when viewed from any direction. Moreover, Advantech DSD-5028 series can be used in both horizontal and vertical installations to present different content in all kinds of venues.

Superior Image and Low Power Consumption
DSD-5028 supports high brightness of 700 cd/m2, and a high contrast ratio of 3000:1 thus giving perfect visibility for a wide variety of digital signage applications. Compared to traditional LED signage, DSD-5028 only consumes 40W while LED displays with similar sizes usually require at least 200W, saving more than 50% on power consumption. What’s more, DSD-5028 supports VGA and DVI signal interfaces and audio functions for easy connection with the plug-and play system. The series also has an RS232 interface reserved for alternative connectivity.

Easy Integration with Signage Media Players
Designed with 100 x 200mm universal wall-mount holes on the back cover, the DSD-5028 can easily be mounted onto walls or ceilings. Moreover, the product also can be seamlessly integrated with Advantech digital signage players with connecting brackets for an all-in-one solution.
