Port Perry, Ontario (March, 2014) – Adamson Systems has announced brand new E12/E218 touring packages ideal for touring and rental houses that need system flexibility, fast setup/teardown and the most powerful mid-high performance in a 12″ line array available in the world.

“The E12/E218 combination is ideal for sound companies looking for a flexible line array and subwoofer that can work for an act moving from a theater to an arena to an outdoor festival,” explains James Oliver, director of marketing and sales for Adamson. “We’ve designed the system so it can be used in front of 20,000 one night and in an intimate theater setting the next.”

“Both the new E12 and E218 have extremely efficient power handling which allows us to minimize the footprint on the stage and reduce the total cost for the end user,” he adds. “There isn’t a more flexible product in the world of line arrays. As your work load grows these packages can be split into multiple standalone systems or easily integrated into a large scale E15 setup.”

Adamson Systems has created three system configurations for end-users to use as a guideline when creating a custom sound reinforcement solution. The Compact Set, consisting of 16 E12 and 8 E218, is intended for use up to an audience of 10,000 with both ground stacked and flown setups possible. The Performance Set includes 24 E12 and 12 E218 cabinets to maximize application scale with minimal amplifier requirements. The High Performance Set – 32 E12s and 24 E218s – easily handles arenas/outdoor festivals or can be split into two Compact Sets.

The recently introduced E12 is a 3-way true line source cabinet that incorporates two 12” Kevlar Neodymium woofers to handle the low frequency band. The mid-high band consists of a 7” Kevlar Neodymium driver and a low distortion 4” diaphragm compression driver mounted to the next generation of Adamson’s unique co-linear drive module.

The critically optimized sound chamber produces a slightly curved wavefront with a nominal dispersion pattern of 110°x 8° (HxV). The waveguide’s efficiency allows for increased horizontal dispersion without sacrificing high frequency in the far field.

The E218 subwoofer was developed to pair with the E12. Two lightweight, long excursion ND18-S Kevlar Neodymium drivers are mounted in an efficient band-pass cabinet. The design achieves a remarkable reduction of rear-ward radiated energy without dedicated cardioid setups and algorithms.

Adamson’s Energia Autolock™ rigging system allows for 8° vertical splay. Splay positions can be set before flying the system while the cabinets are stacked 4-high on a dolly allowing quick and safe assembly by a single engineer/technician.

An E12/E218 demo tour has already appeared in Orlando, Mexico, Detroit and China. The next stops include Hamburg, France and Korea in April.

Adamson’s Prolight+Sound booth will also feature live demonstrations of the new Adamson Blueprint 3D software. In addition to the standard simulation features found in the company’s Shooter program, Blueprint also includes more advanced features such as 3D mapping, multiple virtual microphone locations for examining frequency response throughout the venue, and multiple source setups. The Shooter files can be uploaded for instant use in Blueprint, which simplifies using both programs.

“The software is incredibly fast and makes system design a breeze,” adds Oliver. “We are very excited to demonstrate the new features and benefits of Adamson Blueprint. We will be running demonstrations regularly at the booth and invite everyone to stop by and check it out.”
