The time has once again arrived, #AVtweeps. LAVNCH WEEK 6 will be here and upon us Oct. 24-27. You’ve likely seen or heard us remark that this will be one of the best live events yet from us — and we’re serious about that! But if you’re still on the fence about why you should attend or what you might get out of it, I’m here to convince you to register.

1. Days Organized by Vertical Market

This is a choose-your-own-adventure four days of content. Each day is organized by vertical market, so you can pick and choose what you attend so that it matches your interests. The days will be organized as follows:

• Oct. 24 — UCC Day
• Oct. 25 — Emerging Technology Day
• Oct. 26 — ProAV Day
• Oct. 27 — Digital Signage Day

You have some options here, but whether you want to join for one day or all four, we’ve got you covered! Each day will include panels with hand-selected topics and panelists, general update sessions, product news and more. You don’t want to be late to the party — make sure to mark your calendar now! (1 p.m. EDT each day.)

2. CTS RU-Approved Sessions

Are you looking to re-up your AVIXA CTS certification? Need a few more RUs to make it happen? Look no further! Each day of LAVNCH WEEK 6 includes 2.5 CTS RUs, as long as you stick around for the full day. If you’re interested in attending multiple days, great! You’ll receive up to 10 CTS RUs for the entire week. That’s one-third of the RUs you need to re-up your certification and all you have to do is attend!

3. A Supply Chain Update

Detailed in the below article by Megan A. Dutta, ProAV Day of LAVNCH WEEK 6 will feature a supply chain panel made up of Gary Kayye, Brad Hintze, Heather Sidorowicz, Avi Rosenthal and Paul Harris.

You won’t want to miss the first panel discussion in which representatives from both Crestron and Aurora Multimedia address the elephant in the room of our industry.

4. Networking Opportunities on Networking Opportunities!

As always, LAVNCH WEEK 6 will feature NETWORKING, our live chat feature that’s the closest thing we can develop to speaking with others on a trade show floor! Using this feature, you can chat with manufacturers about the products featured, with me, Gary and Megan — and you can even chat with one another!

My favorite thing about this feature is that you have the option to message the group so that everyone within the event can see your message, but you also have the option to direct message people. Like I said, there’s no real way to capture the magic of making a new friend at a trade show, but this is a close second.

5. The Latest and Greatest From Favorite Manufacturers — and a Live Look at an Immersive Installation!

We’re partnering with some great manufacturers and organizations all across AV to make this week possible. And you’ll get the opportunity to learn more about all of them! You’ll get to learn a little about each company during their short session.

Plus, if you’ve ever wanted to see state-of-the-art technology paired with architecture and media — you’ll get to see just that in the #avIRL session featuring the new observatory at One Vanderbilt. You’ll get an up-close look at the design team that tech/experience happen and I can’t wait to show you!
