4youreye Selects AV Stumpfl, INFiLED, Unilumen for A1 CEV BeachVolley Nations Cup at Red Bull Beach Arena
The world’s beach volleyball elite gathered at the Red Bull Beach Arena in Vienna (2–7 August) to compete in the A1 CEV BeachVolley Nations Cup, inspiring thousands of visitors in the process. Sports and party vibes rarely fit so well together as in the case of beach volleyball. Great physical feats and exciting matches impressed the audience in tandem with a powerful media display concept.
Nearly 25,000 beach volleyball enthusiasts joined the international sports event, organised by Hannes Jagerhofer and ACTS Group. The Vienna-based company 4youreye was enlisted as a technical partner in charge of the media playout at the Red Bull Beach Arena.
A large number of LED displays were arranged to rectangularly surround the volleyball sand court on four levels and showed sponsor logos, commercial messages and general schedule announcements.
Unilumin Upad III H05 touring frame displays and INFiLED ER5pro long shader units with a 5,9mm pixel pitch and a brightness of 5,000 nits were used, which were provided by Media-LED Consulting bwh GmbH.
To ensure a reliable content playout of the 21 million pixels across four 4K LED-controllers, Gerald Herlbauer and his 4youreye team used a PIXERA two media server from AV Stumpfl, together with a synched PIXERA backup system.
4youreye managing director Herlbauer comments on using PIXERA: “AV Stumpfl’s PIXERA has become a major component of our digital toolkit for events and installations. The interface philosophy impressed us right from the start, as well as fast development cycles and the excellent support. You can just tell that heartfelt passion is at the core of this system’s DNA.”
AV Stumpfl global marketing advisor Hans Christian Stucken comments on the system’s growing popularity: “Our international user community is constantly growing, and at the same time the types of customer projects are becoming more diverse too. To be chosen for such a highly popular sports event like the Nations Cup is really great, since we can show that beautiful pixels and PIXERA just belong together.”
