2025 NAB Show New York Opens With AI, Creators and Storytelling in Focus

The 2025 NAB Show New York opens Oct. 22 at the Javits Center, welcoming more than 12,000 registered attendees from nearly 100 countries. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the two-day event features 260 exhibitors and sponsors — including 51 first-time participants — showcasing innovations in broadcasting, streaming, sports, film and the growing creator economy.
“This is where stories meet strategy,” said Karen Chupka, NAB’s executive vice president of Global Connections and Events. “We’re giving attendees hands-on access to the people and platforms shaping what’s next — from AI in newsrooms to the new power dynamics of creators, sports leagues and local broadcasters.”
Programming highlights include a new “Future of Journalism” track that examines the impact of artificial intelligence on news production, ethics and trust. Speakers include NAB President Curtis LeGeyt, CNN’s Brian Stelter, Oliver Darcy of Status, and Axios media reporter Sara Fischer.
On Oct. 22, U.S. Soccer’s Catherine Newman and David Wright will join FOX Sports’ Stu Holden for a keynote on building digital fandom ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Additional sports and storytelling sessions feature perspectives from the NFL, FanDuel Sports Network, Genius Sports, TOGETHXR and Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty and Barclays Center.
The show’s broadcasting and audio strategy conferences will bring together executives from leading media groups including E.W. Scripps, Fox Corp., Hearst Television, Nexstar, Sinclair, Tegna and Graham Media Group. Concurrently, the Radio + Podcast Interactive Forum and Local TV Strategies Summit will focus on evolving local content delivery.
A new “Creator Day” on Oct. 23 will highlight the growing creator economy, including a “Creators Unplugged” session with Shira Lazar, Dylan Huey and Zach Blank, as well as a live TikTok Shop activation by Puff Media. FUJIFILM will offer attendees hands-on access to its latest cameras and lenses outside the exhibit floor for the first time, giving creators the opportunity to test advanced color and autofocus technologies.
Other highlights include Post|Production World New York, a two-day workshop series for editors and producers, and exhibits from industry leaders such as Amagi, Avid, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Dell, Fujifilm, Panasonic Connect, Ross Video and Western Digital. Networking happy hours on Oct. 22 will foster connections among attendees, speakers and exhibitors.
