CEDIA 2017, San Diego, CA (September 4, 2017)  – Origin Acoustics, a world leader in architectural audio is proud to announce the extension of its Composer Collection of in-wall loudspeakers. Created to provide a cost-effective means of sonically blending Composer models and in-ceiling models from the Director Collection, these three models round out the collection.

The CIW61, CIW63 and CIW65 are all two-way speakers with 6 ½-inch woofers and 1-inch dome tweeters. The 61 features a polypropylene woofer while the 63 and 65 use an injection molded graphite cone. The tweeters are silk, aluminum and our patented DPSD® for the 61, 63 and 65. All three speakers use a standard dogleg mounting system in order to reduce cost and dedicate every cent possible to the sonic components of the loudspeaker.

These models are timbre matched to their counterparts in the Director Collection. Simply selecting a speaker with the same numeric designation from another collection will guarantee the speakers have the same sonic signature. This can be critical for a home theater system, for example, where the front speakers go in the wall around the video display and the surrounds are in the ceiling behind the listening area.
