ZVOX to Demo 57″ Wide SB700 SpeakerBar at CEDIA

zvox-speakerbar-0916ZVOX has added an ultra-wide (57.1”) aluminum sound bar to its lineup – the SB700. The SB700’s width makes it a match for 65” TVs, which typically measure just over 57” in width. It uses a 140 watt Class D amplifier, three high-performance drivers and dual built-in 4” subwoofers to deliver audio – including bass down to 38Hz. Like the SB400 and SB500 models introduced earlier this year, the SB700 uses an extruded aluminum cabinet which allows for maximized interior volume for outstanding bass performance – despite the fact that the SB700 is only 3.3” thick. It uses a revolutionary computer-controlled woofer system that fine-tunes the excursion of the 4” long-throw woofers used in the new models, allowing them to generate room-filling, accurate bass down to 38 Hz. No external subwoofer is required.

Like the other models, the SB700 has ZVOX’s proprietary AccuVoice dialogue enhancement feature, which uses hearing aid technology to deliver remarkably clear voice reproduction. This feature is particularly appealing to the 95 million Americans over the age of 50, many of whom have some degree of hearing impairment. Models include:

  • SB700 —  57.1” x 5.7” x 3.3”, dual built-in 4” long-throw subwoofers, bass down to 38 Hz – no external subwoofer, three long-throw full-range drivers (l/c/r), 140 watt digital amplifier.  $799.99
  • SB500 —  43.9” x 5.7” x 3.3”, dual built-in 4” long-throw subwoofers, bass down to 42Hz – no external subwoofer, three long-throw full-range drivers (l/c/r), 140 watt digital amplifier.  $599.99
