The Vitec Group Debuts Vantage Robotic Camera Head

Vinten’s Vantage is a lightweight robotic camera head that offers houses of worship and in-house production suites broadcast-quality movement and control at the same price point as a traditional pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera head. Vantage enables HOW production teams to choose the camera and lens so they can match manual camera positions, work over long distances and manage low-light conditions as needed. Vantage supports a wide range of pro-video camcorders from a variety of manufacturers including Canon and Sony, as well as both full-servo and manual lens types.

The optional Vinten external lens drive increases the number of lenses that can be used on Vantage-mounted cameras and delivers full servo functionality, including virtual reality (VR) tracking to manual lenses.

The μVRC controller allows studios and venues of any size to control high-end robotics and third-party PTZs. This cost-effective, modular version of the control software allows smaller budgets to leverage Vantage with a wide variety of cameras and lenses for unmatched flexibility in content creation and broadcast-quality movement and control. When paired with the Vantage, the μVRC offers a robotic broadcast production solution.
