TrueConf Releases an Open Source Application for Video Enabled Kiosks

TrueConf has released the TrueConf Kiosk source code. TrueConf hopes this will make video kiosk software more accessible by providing developers with an open source application for real-time customer service via video conferencing.

Embedded video conferencing systems traditionally require recruiting skilled software engineers, commissioning a custom development or learning SDK. To make the process easier, TrueConf created a ready-made and customizable application for video kiosks that resolves many typical challenges and can be installed on any Windows-based PC.

The application is available on GitHub as an open source project for Visual Studio and Delphi — two most popular development environments. The application interface can be easily customized to match diverse customer needs. The TrueConf Kiosk source code is free to use, modify and distribute. It requires a connection to TrueConf Server as a media server which provides a reliable back-end for embedded solutions.

Here are details on the SDK.
