Séura Lighted Mirrors Comply with California Title 24 Efficiency Standards

Today Séura confirmed they are compliant with the new California Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency Standards. The standards are designed to ensure new and existing buildings achieve energy efficiency and preserve environmental quality.

Effective this year, the Title 24 Residential Standards have JA8 requirements that all luminaries must be high-efficacy. These regulations affect construction of a new buildings, as well as alterations made to existing buildings including residential homes and hotel guestrooms.

Séura’s engineering team performed testing to ensure Séura lighted mirrors complied with the new energy efficacy standards. These mirrors use a select group of approved dimmable drivers, precise wattages and specific strip lengths of Séura Brilliant LED Technology to guarantee compliance.

“We are pleased that our Lighted Mirrors meet or exceed the requirements set out by Title 24,” said Keegan Coulter, Séura VP of Sales and Marketing. “Making energy efficient technology is a longstanding focus of our company, and we strive to engineer green solutions for our customers and our planet.”

The Energy Commission is required by law to adopt standards every three years that incorporate new energy efficient technologies and construction methods. Séura offers Lighted Mirrors that meet the new standards including minimum efficacy of 45 lumens per watt, fast start time of ½ second maximum, lifespan minimum rating of 15,000 hours or 25,000 hours for built-in LED bulbs, dimmable down to 10%, 3000K maximum color temperature, and minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 90 and color rendering red (R9) or 50.
