Savant has announced compatibility between Savant’s smart home ecosystem and the Google Home Assistant speech-recognition engine. Savant pioneered the use of voice control as part of the connected home by introducing the Savant Pro Remote, enabling homeowners to activate a Savant Scene, choose a favorite channel or select a source within their entertainment system.

With the new Savant/Google compatibility users can activate Savant Scenes to control any and all of their smart home features, adjusting entertainment, lighting, climate controls, TVs, shading and much more with a single voice command. Google will discover Savant as an Action that can be easily accessed via voice command. Interfacing with Savant’s scene engine that captures personalized automation events, consumers can initiate, schedule, edit or delete a Savant Scene while retaining Google voice functionality. Savant’s Google interface is based upon cloud-to-cloud communication between the two services, leveraging the power of Savant’s robust, secure, redundant cloud infrastructure.
